Usman Khan (Interim Director)
Usman was appointed Interim Director in April 2016. He is currently Managing Director of Modus Europe a European Public Policy Consultancy, an organisation providing strategic public policy advice and undertakes related economic and policy studies with a particular focus on health and social care. Usman has over twenty years public policy and management experience. He has held Board Director positions in public, private and not for profit organisations and has experience of leading significant change management projects in a number of countries. He currently holds a non-executive position within the NHS and is Professorial Lecturer in Health Policy and Management at George Washington University.
Michele Calabro' (Policy and Projects Officer)
Michele joined EHMA in January 2016. Passionate about EU policies and integration, Michele holds a Bachelor in Public Administration and a MA in International Relations and European Studies (Università degli Studi di Torino, Italy). Before joining EHMA, Michele worked in Malta as EU Project assistant at dConsulta and then as European Semester Officer Assistant at the European Commission Representation in Valletta. At EHMA, Michele coordinates communication and EU-funded projects activities including SUSTAIN and IC-Health.
Lejla Dizdarevic (Events and Communication Assistant)
Lejla is passionate about journalism, radio and theatre. She holds a BA in Communication Studies at the American University in Bulgaria, with a minor in Arts and Literature and a MA in Journalism and New Media in the EU in Brussels. Lejla is fluent in English, French and Serbian. She joined EHMA in October 2016 as Communication and Events Assistant and organises EHMA's 2017 Annual Conference in Milan as well as the other EHMA events.
Aurora joined EHMA in October 2016 as Membership and Governance Assistant. She comes from Spain and recently graduated in MA European Studies at the KU Leuven. Aurora is enthusiastic about social integration and civic participation, and has both academic and professional experience in intercultural and migration policy practice.
Maurice Hameleers (Policy and Projects Assistant)
Maurice joined EHMA in October 2016 as policy and project assistant. He holds a masters degree in Change Management from the Rotterdam School of Management and an advanced masters degree in EU politics from the University of Leuven. At EHMA, Maurice predominantly works on the IC-Health project and he writes for the EHMA newsletter.
