The future of Health – Advancing the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda in Europe conference was held in Brussels, Belgium, on 11th and 12th July 2019. The two-day conference was organised by Patient Access Partnership (PACT) (Ministry of Social Affairs and Health), consisted of three main sessions and panel discussions, and one workshop on health policy, economics, and the collaboration between EU Member States in the health sector. Over 100 participants, along with 30 speakers, attended the conference from across Europe.
The conference aimed at building cooperation among stakeholders and bringing together a variety of partners to discuss and reaffirm the importance of active EU collaboration for health. The speakers brought out their thoughtful and critical points of view on health systems, policies, economic situation, and demographic challenges that currently exist in the EU societies, and claimed that health must become an EU priority.
