George Valiotis
Executive Director

George is the overall strategic lead for the secretariat by acting as the direct link between the Board, and our membership networks including the Scientific Advisory Committee, and Special Interest Groups. He represents the voice of health management to many European and international bodies including the European Parliament, the European Commission, the World Health Organisation, Industry bodies, and community groups. He has an active role in all of EHMA's projects by providing high level advice on health management matters. He Chairs EHMA's webinar series, guides the coordination of the annual conference, and executive training programmes. George has worked in executive roles specializing in health management, policy, research, systems thinking, human rights, education and training. George most enjoys cooking traditional Greek food, trampolining, and solving Rubik's cubes. He is a native Greek speaker, fluent in English and speaks French. Federica Margheri
Operations Manager

Federica oversees EHMA's operations, she manages the annual conference programme, partnerships and membership, and supports project work. As a member of the senior management team, she provides high level strategic advice on financial and health management initiatives. She brings over 10 years’ experience in European and international organisations, having worked both at the European Parliament and the European Commission. Federica enjoys art in all its forms and volunteers with youth organisations in the field of education and employment. Federica speaks Italian, English and French. Laura Cande
Policy and Projects Consultant

Laura coordinates the work of the Scientific Advisory Committee, the Annual Conference Committee, and the Conference Rapporteurs Programme; as well as projects on vaccine uptake, health management digital skills, and process improvement. She is an experienced health manager having worked as a coordinator in quality and process improvement projects to increase efficiency, compliance with legislation requirements, and patient satisfaction in the United States. In Haiti she oversaw project implementation in various international non-governmental organisations in humanitarian emergency response and development. Laura holds a Master’s in Public Health Sciences with a focus on health policy & systems, from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. –She is an avid baker who never misses the opportunity to bring homemade desserts to gatherings. Emmi Weller
Policy Officer

Emmi coordinates EHMA's involvement in policy networks including EU4Health, European Alliance for Value Based Healthcare, and our engagement with decision makers. She has an active role in all our projects to ensure they are both aligned with and inform European policy developments. Her first degree is in Global Public Health which she obtained at Leiden University College (The Netherlands), with an exchange semester at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (United States). She is a graduate of the Erasmus Mundus Master’s degree in European Health Economics and Management taught jointly by: University of Oslo (Norway), University of Bologna (Italy) and Management Centre Innsbruck (Austria). Emmi enjoys hiking, local food markets, picnics with a nice view, and discovering new cultures. Emmi is a native speaker of French and German, and fluent in English and Spanish. Sanchari Dutta
Senior Research Specialist

Sanchari leads on research and analysis of health management projects to make immediate practical benefit and improve policy making. Her current focus includes health system disruption, digital health and the health workforce. Sanchari has extensive research experience in public health, infectious disease and global health governance. Prior to joining EHMA, she spent a decade working in academia with appointments in the University of London (SOAS), University of Oxford and in India. Sanchari has a DPhil, MPhil and BA from the University of Oxford. Sanchari is a native speaker of English, Hindi, Bengali and fluent in Dutch. Tina Hadzic

Tina Hadžić
Communications Officer

Tina oversees all communications for EHMA's work including our events, projects, policy and health management networks. This includes oversight of social media, websites, stakeholder mapping, and design of publications. She holds a Masters degree in English Linguistics and Literature from the University of Granada, and a joint Masters degree in Democracy and Human Rights from the University of Bologna and the University of Sarajevo. Tina previously worked with the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia and the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI). She was born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has lived and worked in Spain, Serbia, Italy, and Belgium. She is passionate about animal welfare, enjoys cooking and travelling. Chiara Gonzi
Events Officer

Chiara oversees the logistics of all EHMA events including the EHMA Annual Conference, the webinar series, executive trainings, and supporting EU projects. She has an excellent understanding of health management audiences and stakeholder engagement, whom she works with to support to build networks and showcase their work. She is passionate about women’s rights and takes pride in bringing people together, creating inclusive communities and connecting individuals across the globe. She holds a Master in Language Sciences from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Italy. Evelyn Donohoe

Evelyn Donohoe
Executive Assistant

Evelyn is EHMA’s intern and the Executive Assistant to EHMA’s Executive Director. She is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Executive Director, and the Executive Team. She has over a decade of experience in Health and Social Care settings in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. Evelyn gained a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Edinburgh. Following this, she worked in Mental Health in integrated Health and Social Care Teams. Prior to joining EHMA, Evelyn was awarded a Master's in Global Health Public Policy, from SciencesPo, Paris. Evelyn lived in China for one year and won a certificate of participation in a county Tai Chi competition. Evelyn speaks English and French and is currently learning German.  

 

Kasia Skoczek

Policy and Projects Assistant

Kasia is EHMA's policy and projects intern. She supports the team with extensive research on project work and is part of the Conference Rapporteurs programme. Currently, she is enrolled in a Bachelor programme in International Health Science with a specialisation in Health Management at the University of Applied Sciences Fulda in Germany. She is politically active and is a founder and financial representative of the university's partyLiberale Hochschulgruppe which is committed to shaping a more liberal university policy. In addition, she recently joined the student parliament to improve students' life on campus. She is fluent in German, English and Polish.
