George Valiotis
Executive Director

George is the overall strategic lead for the secretariat by acting as the direct link between the Board, and our membership networks including the Scientific Advisory Committee, and Special Interest Groups. He represents the voice of health management to many European and international bodies including the European Parliament, the European Commission, the World Health Organisation, Industry bodies, and community groups. He has an active role in all of EHMA's projects by providing high level advice on health management matters. He Chairs EHMA's webinar series, guides the coordination of the annual conference, and executive training programmes. George has worked in executive roles specializing in health management, policy, research, systems thinking, human rights, education and training. George most enjoys cooking traditional Greek food, trampolining, and solving Rubik's cubes. He is a native Greek speaker, fluent in English and speaks French. Federica Margheri
Chief Operating Officer

Federica oversees EHMA's operations, she manages the annual conference programme, partnerships and membership, and supports project work. As a member of the senior management team, she provides high level strategic advice on financial and health management initiatives. She brings over 10 years’ experience in European and international organisations, having worked both at the European Parliament and the European Commission. Federica enjoys art in all its forms and volunteers with youth organisations in the field of education and employment. Federica speaks Italian, English and French. Anett Ruszanov

Anett Ruszanov
Programme and Policy Director

Anett directs the development of EHMA’s policy positions and maximises the impact of EU-funded projects for the benefit of the health management ecosystem. As a member of the Senior Management Team, she ensures that the most recent, important and relevant knowledge on health management creates the conditions for high-quality, accessible, value-based and patient-centred care all over Europe. Anett is involved in shaping and promoting EHMA’s policy positions in projects and towards European institutions and stakeholders, she also oversees the design of new proposals. Anett enjoys being active, hiking, biking, cooking and baking for family and friends. She is a native Hungarian, and speaks English and French.

 

Georgia Karyami

Georgia Karyami
Programme Manager

Georgia oversees the BeWell project. She is responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of project deliverables and milestones. She has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and a joint Master's degree in Health Economics and Management from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, University of Oslo, University of Bologna and Management Centre Innsbruck. Georgia is particularly interested in the topics concerning the primary fragmentations for delivering care in rural and remote areas. She enjoys cooking, hikes with friends and exploring the world. Emmi Weller
Policy Officer

Emmi coordinates EHMA's involvement in policy networks including EU4Health, European Alliance for Value Based Healthcare, and our engagement with decision makers. She has an active role in all our projects to ensure they are both aligned with and inform European policy developments. Her first degree is in Global Public Health which she obtained at Leiden University College (The Netherlands), with an exchange semester at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (United States). She is a graduate of the Erasmus Mundus Master’s degree in European Health Economics and Management taught jointly by: University of Oslo (Norway), University of Bologna (Italy) and Management Centre Innsbruck (Austria). Emmi enjoys hiking, local food markets, picnics with a nice view, and discovering new cultures. Emmi is a native speaker of French and German, and fluent in English and Spanish. Ekaterina Sachek

Ekaterina Sachek
Events Officer

Kate is responsible for events management at EHMA. She is in charge of planning, managing and hosting webinars, executive workshops and the EHMA Annual Conference. She has a Master's degree in linguistics from the Siberian Federal University and is currently completing a Master's degree in Linguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Kate has experience organising and managing events for the Asia-Pacific region. She enjoys horse riding, playing video games and swimming. She is fluent in Russian, English, Chinese, and French. Austeja Tunaityte

Austeja Tunaityte
Communications Officer

Austeja, in close cooperation with another Communications Officer, oversees communications for different areas of EHMA's work, including events, projects, policy and health management networks. She holds a Master’s degree in European Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and specialises in Global Public Health. Before joining EHMA, Austeja completed traineeships in the European Parliament's administration and its political group. She enjoys travelling, discovering cultural places, and spending time in nature. She is fluent in English and Lithuanian, has a good command of French, and is learning the Thai language.

 

 

Camilla Lombardi

Camilla Lombardi
Communications Officer

Camilla oversees communications for EHMA's events, projects, policy and health management networks. She is responsible for managing websites, social media channels, newsletters, stakeholder mapping and the design of publications. She grew up in Italy and holds a Master’s degree in Mass Media and Politics from the University of Bologna. She previously worked at the European Economic and Social Committee and the European Civic Forum, where she learned a lot about civil society and the European Union. Before moving to Brussels, Camilla worked as a freelance journalist for a few Italian online newspapers and volunteered in an anti-gender violence centre in her hometown, Ferrara. She is passionate about writing, music and fostering human connections.

 

Evelyn Donohoe

Evelyn Donohoe
Policy Officer

Evelyn is EHMA Policy Officer and oversees a project on the digitalisation of medication management. She has over a decade of experience in Health and Social Care settings in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. Evelyn gained a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Edinburgh. Following this, she worked in Mental Health in integrated Health and Social Care Teams. Prior to joining EHMA, Evelyn was awarded a Master's in Global Health Public Policy, from SciencesPo, Paris. Evelyn lived in China for one year and won a certificate of participation in a county Tai Chi competition. Evelyn speaks English and French and is currently learning German.
