This webinar discusses the Swedish government’s response to SARS COV-2, shares valuable lessons about how to adjust the pandemic response for the cold months of winter. It will describe the no “lockdown” strategy used in Stockholm and their emergency management healthcare response. The webinar draws on international research and the Karolinska institute’s rapid implementation research project to consider preparations for the continuing crisis in the winter. The focus is on management preparations and winter actions for primary and community healthcare and older people’s services to respond to resurgences in infection and the upsurge in demand from non-COVID 19 patients whose health has deteriorated in the last months.
