Webinar | Health service delivery before and after the pandemic

October 11 @ 13:30 - 14:15

This session of the EHMA’s 2022 webinar series ‘Health Management in action: Fostering health systems’ resilience’ takes place on Tuesday, 11 October 2022 from 13.30 to 14.15 CESTfollowed by a 30-minute networking session (14.15 – 14.45 CEST).

On the webinar

How has the COVID-19 pandemic influenced the way healthcare services are being delivered? What are the new ways in which health service providers collaborate with other disciplines and how could we make these collaborations sustainable? For instance, European Reference Networks (ERN) aim to optimise care for patients with complex or rare diseases and conditions that require highly specialised treatment, by facilitating discussion among providers in different European countries and bundling knowledge and resources. Is the ERN model the way forward for service delivery in a stronger European Health Union?

The speakers will compare absorptiveness, adaptiveness, and transformativeness in health service provision before and after COVID. We will look at institutional organisation and service delivery through the eyes of different healthcare professionals, informal carers and patients.
Speakers:
  • Mr Stecy Yghemonos, Executive Director, Eurocarers, Belgium
  • Dr Axel Kaehne, Reader in Health Services Research, Edge Hill University, United Kingdom
Registration open here.
