Webinar | Towards future-readiness: measuring health systems’ resilience
October 5 @ 13:30 - 14:15
This session of the EHMA’s 2022 webinar series ‘Health Management in action: Fostering health systems’ resilience’ takes place on Wednesday, 5 October 2022 from 13.30 to 14.15 CEST – followed by a 30-minute networking session (14.15 – 14.45 CEST).
On the webinar
The COVID-19 outbreak demonstrated that the readiness to implement health system change is uneven across different countries. Assessing and measuring readiness is challenging due to the breadth and variety in the choice of measures. Numerous indicators have been identified as a means to measure the readiness of a health system: measuring capacity (bed capacity, bed occupancy, availability of emergency infrastructure), ability to mobilise resources and adequacy of supply chains, among others. In addition to quantitative measures, qualitative measurements are of substantial importance. In this webinar, speakers will highlight how multiple aspects and indicators of readiness must be considered, and can be practically measured to determine a health system’s readiness.
