MEMBERS

EHMA is the only membership organisation in Europe to bring together health and hospital managers, healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, academia, policy and decision makers from the WHO European Region and beyond.

EHMA provides an environment where evidence, challenge and experience are valued and complex debates on current topics take place. EHMA plays a crucial role in engaging with the full ecosystem of European health management systems. EHMA is a highly accessible and well-established place where people can debate and engage in issues that affect them, where they feel they can advocate for change, and find solutions. Through our members and networks, we reach local, regional, national, and international levels. While cynicism with politics grows, engagement in EHMA activities is a way for people to contribute to public life and support issues which are of concern to them.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors, on behalf of the EHMA Members, govern how we achieve our vision of excellence in health management for a healthy Europe. They do this by ensuring EHMA achieves appropriate results at an appropriate cost; and avoids unacceptable actions and situations. The Board reports annually to the Member’s Annual General Assembly.

Scientific Advisory Committee

Our Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) supports the wider mission of EHMA providing advice on research and scientific issues. Building on EHMA reputation for academic excellence, the SAC comprises Members who bring the highest standards of research governance to ensure that the EHMA work programme and activities are of an internationally recognised high standard.

Programme Directors' Group

Excellence in post-graduate health management programmes was a key-driver behind the establishment of EHMA. EHMA has worked to establish a Programme Directors’ Group, which brings together Programme and Course Directors, Heads of Department, Deans or any other individual representing a study course to help ensure that taught programmes continue to provide the highest quality education for health managers, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.

Special Interest Groups

The Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are small working groups established and run by our Members. Each SIG focusses on a particular health policy and practice theme, and provides a space for Member to reflect on the most important issues they currently face. Ranging from primary care to health workforce, from integrated care to health futures, our SIGs provide a unique space to respond to current challenges in health policy and practice.

Young EHMA Network

The Young EHMA Network provides a unique environment where young researchers, policy analysts and health managers are able to network within their own self managed space. The Young EHMA Network will be developing sessions and activities connected to the EHMA Conference, opportunities for exchange visits and peer-to-peer training opportunities.
