This webinar will build on EHMA’s position paper on medication waste and management, shifting the discussion from evidence to implementation and policy reflection. Across Europe, health systems are seeking to improve resilience, reduce inefficiencies and advance sustainability, while at the same time large volumes of medicines continue to be wasted throughout the medication lifecycle.

Bringing together practical experience, economic evidence and policy perspectives, this discussion will explore how smarter medication management can contribute to more resilient and sustainable health systems across Europe. The event will emphasise the importance of coordinated approaches across the medication lifecycle to reduce inefficiencies while advancing patient safety and environmental sustainability. Building on the recommendations of the EHMA paper, the discussion will focus on practical approaches emerging in Member States and on how EU-level cooperation could support scalable solutions.
